Conference VisCom27

Call for Proposals/Abstracts Posted!

The CFP for VisCom 27 has been posted…

Ken and Conrad have been busy getting the site plans organized. Ken visited Steamboat Springs a few weeks ago and he reports that it will be a great setting for the conference. He writes: “The Sheraton is a beautiful hotel that is situated right next to the slope and right next to the gondola ski lift. This means people can rent a mountain bike right in the hotel, take it up the gondola, and ride it down the slope. Of course this is kind of exotic. If they want they can simply walk out of the hotel and hike a trail up the slope.”

We do not have a Registration Fee set just yet, but whatever it is, grad students will get a $100 discount. And, while we don’t have a Hotel Registration deadline set just yet, with only 35 rooms reserved for us, getting your reservation in early would be wise.

Here is Ken’s site planning run down:

Site: Sheraton Hotel, Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Dates: Wednesday, June 26-Sunday, June 30, 2013

Room rate: $135 single or double

Hotel Web site:

Registration Fee: TBA, but all graduate students will receive a discount of $100 from their registration fees

Sponsor: University of Wyoming

Transportation: Flights are available to Steamboat, but the University of Wyoming plans to run a shuttle from Denver International Airport to reduce transportation costs.

See you there!
